Welcome to "Paradox: The Sheldon & Penny Shipping Community." This is the first and only community dedicated to the characters and pairing of Sheldon and Penny of CBS' The Big Bang Theory. This is your go-to location for art, fan fiction, videos, and more! Why "paradox?" Well, it's a technical term that rather fits our Penny and Sheldon:

1) A statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true; 2) One (as a person, situation, or action) having seemingly contradictory qualities.

Sheldon and Penny are opposites who attract, two individuals who seemingly don't mesh, but together do so beautifully. So, Sheldon/Penny: Paradox.

.Guidelines.

Here are a few tips so that you might make better use of this community.

1. Review the community's rules, found in the far right column. Failure to do so might lead to a comment or post inappropriate for the community.

If a post/comment is considered inappropriate in light of the rules of the community, a moderator will delete the post/comment and inform you of this action, as well as the rule neglected. Further neglect of the rule will result in a more disciplined approach.

2. Refer to the official beta post when requesting a beta.

3. Do not spam the community. Please minimize any posts with relevant topics of discussion. If you have several icon batches or other graphics to post, please make one post with links to all relevant data.

4. There are a few posts that can be found on the sidebar that are a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the fandom, read some great stuff and share some of your own thoughts. Do check them out.

.Rules.

1. Please be courteous to other members. Flaming and trolling will not be tolerated, nor will any other offensive content. This includes the use of icons or other graphics of an offensive nature.

2. Please be courteous to other communities. This includes the Leonard/Penny community/fandom. We are not only the bigger fandom in numbers, but we can be the bigger fandom in attitude also. This community has a wonderful reputation for a reason; we would like to maintain that.

This means no petty snipes at them, no arbitrary bashing of the Leonard/Penny ship, or their community. We just don't need that to raise the Sheldon and Penny ship. We can discuss why we think Sheldon and Penny work better together, or even why Leonard and Penny don't, but as a discussion, not a simple bald statement.

Acceptable: I don't think that Leonard and Penny work as a couple, because ...
Unacceptable: Leonard/Penny suck!!!11!

3. Make diligent use of lj-cuts. Cuts are required if your post (a) is of considerable length; (b) contains large graphics or large batches of icons; (c) has spoilers. A lj-cut is required for all posts discussing any episode that has not aired in the United States, as well as a courtesy period of a week after airdates.

4. All members should use generally accepted grammar, including proper capitalization and punctuation. Use of netspeak creates a potential for communication gaps. This includes posts and comments. * If we see a post that does not contain proper grammar, it will be deleted. This is much too much of a simple rule to be ignored and overlooked.

5. Respect toward the actors, writers, and producers of The Big Bang Theory must be shown. This community will not house bashing of any of these individuals, nor discussion of their privates lives.

6. Review and make use of the community's tags.

You might include other elements in your header, such as author or summary, but be sure to use the elements above. Furthermore, if your rating is above PG-13, please include reasons as to why (profanity, violence, smut, etc).
